Abi Hurcomb is a British cinematographer, who after completing an MA in cinematography at film school has had a very successful career in lighting, working as Floor Best Girl on major motion pictures such as “Back to Black” the Amy Winehouse Biopic, MGM’s “Boys in the Boat” and the Netflix series “Lockwood & Co”, as well as Gaffering highend commercials for brands such as E.L.F, Adidas, Nike, Knorr, Vodafone to name a few.
Through her craft in cinematography, she understands the power of visual storytelling. Her approach is not just about capturing scenes but about harnessing the art of cinematography to elevate narratives. She knows how to wield colour, light, movement, and framing to amplify or contrast, to ignite or subdue, effectively becoming an additional layer of storytelling in every film.
